Franconia Notch is one of the many wonders nestled in the heart of the White Mountains. A deep canvernous wonderland filled with mountains of fun filled adventures. The Basin is one of the many beautiful spectacles that people travel from near and far to explore. Pools carved out from glaciers long since gone, trails leading to waterfalls, rivers snaking through the forest, rocks to climb on and waters to play in. The deep history that lies within the forest is something for your non typical history buff. Signs at the entrance to various prominent features explain where and how these beautiful places were created. It’s hard to believe that all of the fantastic features were made simply from frozen waters that shifted and shook among the rocks many centuries ago. This is definitely somewhere to put on the list of must sees.
